The classrooms at IE are designed in different centers, such as mathematics, science, writing, dramatic play, art, technology, and building. These centers are set up to meet your child’s developmental needs. At IE, we place great emphasis on literacy, and our library center has a wide variety of texts of different genres for children to explore and develop pre-reading skills. We rotate books based on children’s interests and themed units. Social and emotional development play an important role in every child’s life. We have a calm-down corner so that children can take a moment to reset, reflect, and recognize that it is okay to have different emotions and feelings. We have a large variety of STEM-based toys for children to increase divergent thinking, enhance creativity, and develop problem-solving skills and hand-eye coordination. We have interactive technologies such as smart boards and iPads, microscopes, and telescopes for enhanced learning.
