Language and Literacy Development

 Literacy plays an essential role in every child’s development and at IE, we believe children should be exposed to a variety of books to acquire new knowledge. In our classrooms, we provide children with rich texts that represent their background, culture, and interest. Our weekly lessons to further reinforce what we are implementing inside and outside of the classrooms. We provide purposeful play and encourage children to ask questions using “what, when, where, and why”.  We also use technology to expand on the children’s learning as well as introducing new vocabulary words throughout our weekly lessons and one-on-one interactions.
